When deciding what name to use when you get married, it is no longer a just a question of whether or not to take his name. Some other options include using your maiden name as a middle name or using a hyphen between your maiden name and his name. You can even take his name legally but continue to use your maiden name socially and/or professionally or alternately keep your name legally and use his socially/professionally.
